running a marathon to support mental health
David Letky X Relief: running 42.2 km to support mental health
Since March 2020, we have the impression of being in a long collective marathon to get our « normal » lives back.
The pandemic has highlighted the importance of supporting each and everyone’s mental health, as 1 person in 3 suffer from psychological distress, according to a recent survey from ''Observatoire sur la santé et le mieux-être au travail de l’Université de Montréal''.
It’s with great pride that I have decided to team up with Relief and to dedicate my first marathon and run 42.2 km to support its vital mission to help people living with anxiety, depression, or bipolarity with virtual workshops, tools, and programs.
I invite you to team up with us by making a donation or sharing my campaign to stimulate commitment and reflection to help me reach my $5,000 fundraising goal, $1,000 for each month of preparation, before I complete the Magog Marathon on Octobre 17, 2021.
For each $50 raised, one person receives support with tools to face the high and lows of mental health. For each donation of $20 or more, you will receive a tax receipt from Relief.
Mental health is a sensitive matter for me since I have battled depression in the past, and with this project dear to my heart, I hope it will convince more people to call upon Relief’s services that are there to help you find your own version of relief along your journey and to remember that we are all human.
In advance, THANK YOU for your generous support!
Thanks to our donors!
